Изменчивость количественная, и. непрерывная — изменчивость количественных, полигенно контролируемых (пластических) признаков (см. Полигены). При И. к. выборка особей из популяции представляет собой непрерывный ряд количественного выражения данного признака. Группирование особей по классам субъективно и зависит от точности измерений. При скрещивании форм с крайними выражениями данного количественного признака в F1 наблюдается промежуточное наследование, доминирование одного из родителей или гетерозис. Для F2 характерно не менделевское расщепление, а вариационный ряд с более или менее плавной градацией в величинах выражения признака у родительских форм, и плавность градации пропорциональна числу генов, контролирующих данный признак. В F2 отдельные особи могут быть положительно- или отрицательно- трансгрессивными (см. Трансгрессия). И. к. в очень большой степени зависит от условий внешней среды.Непрерывная изменчивость — фенотипическая изменчивость (см. Изменчивость), выраженная количественными признаками, параметры которых представляют собой непрерывный ряд значений от mах. до min.
